The first and most numerous of the "Admiralty" with up to 11 members, the Commodores/Brigadier Generals take part in the vast behind-the-scenes work required to keep an organization like the New Republic Navy up and running. They probably also hold a position in a Wing Command. |

With up to 9 members, the Rear Admirals/Major Generals, like the the 1 star rankers, fly desks as well as X-wings or P-51's and are typically Wing Commanding Officers or hold another such high command position. |
